There are three Findley Buttes - East, West and 5194. The first and the last have clear public access across Nature Conservancy easements and are recommended summits in this area. The buttes are part of the Zumwalt Prairie Preserve - read about it here: https://www.nature.org/en-us/get-involved/how-to-help/places-we-protect/zumwalt-prairie/ and the map here: https://www.nature.org/content/dam/tnc/nature/en/documents/zumwalt-prairie-trails-tour-map-2013.pdf.

Since Findley Buttes West was first activated, the area has been posted in such a way that public access is no longer clear. Proceed at your own discretion and perhaps activate instead the two nearby SOTA summits that have clear public access - 5194 and Findley Buttes East. You might consider contacting The Nature Conservancy in Enterprise about access before activating: 541-426-3458.

To reach the Findley Buttes area, head east on Highway 82 about three miles from Enterprise to turn left onto Crow Creek Road and head mostly east about four miles. Turn onto Zumwalt-Imnaha Road and go another 16 miles or so. A GPS might be useful here to make certain you are heading to the correct summit. Summit access is cross-country.

Pictured below are East and West Findley Buttes.
