The high point of Alabama is an easy drive-up summit - Cheaha Mountain is located in an Alabama State Park about 16 miles south of I-20. At Exit 191 head south on Highway 1 and follow the signs to Cheaha State Park, turning south on 281 and then keeping west onto 600G.

There's a substantial resort in the park with a restaurant, motel, store and available camping. There's a $3 per person entry fee. At the summit is a stone lookout tower and museum - the museum has limited hours but the lookout appeared to be open at all times.

I found a spot to activate over by the campfire gathering spot just north of the tower. I didn't experience any RFI from the nearby radio equipment.
