Cole Mountain is a drive-up in the Coast Range south of Highway 26 off of Highway 53. The road is passable in any passenger car and it's a radio quiet spot.

From Highway 26 turn south onto Necanicum Highway – Highway 53 – for about 6.7 miles. Turn east onto Cole Mountain Road for 1.4 miles and bear left to stay on the route to the summit. After 1.7 miles you make a very sharp right turn to continue towards the summit. Another 0.8 miles will get you to a short stub road leading to the high point of Cole Mountain – park here and walk the few yards to the summit. A GPS will be helpful identify the summit. There are some trees around the summit for antennas.

We had no luck working anyone on 2m FM - you'll want to depend on HF to make your contacts. There some cell coverage with Verizon and none with T-Mobile. APRS worked well to spot.
