There is no poison oak on this summit, at least not that I was able to identify, and it is my mortal enemy, so I've gotten pretty good at predicting where I'll find it and identifying it from an appreciable distance. I just wanted to clarify that as a previous post claimed to have encountered poison oak.
Don't breathe a sigh of relief yet, though, because this is a very steep, very challenging bushwhack. It has lots of activations because it's close to Lookout Mountain, no doubt, but it is barely worth the 4 points. The bushwhacking is the kind where you literally have to shove yourself with brute force through the stands of mostly huckleberry and slide alder. The understory does open up significantly within about 200 vertical feet of the summit, but getting to that point will take you some time, at least if you approach from the North like I did. I don't know if there is a better approach, but it's hard to see how there would be.
This isn't an easy "grab and go" summit to append to another activation. You're better off continuing on to something a little friendlier, like Twin Rocks, Sister Rocks, Termination Point, or Timbered Peak.
