Upper and Lower Table Rocks dominate the skyline north of Medford Oregon, just off Interstate 5.  Upper Table Rock, located in Central Point, Oregon offers great views in many directions, and has an easy, well-maintained trail, used by more than 10,000 people each year.  From the trailhead, it's a 30-45 minute walk to the summit, which is large and flat. There's no infrastructure on the mesa, but it is very large and offers both open spaces and some trees usable for supporting wire antennas.

The walk from the parking area is not difficult.  As the photo shows, there are some portions of the trail with boulders, so it's worth taking your time and being careful.  When I visited on September 5, 2016, there were quite a few people on top, but the area is so large that one never feels crowded.  Note that the edges of the mesa are sometimes extremely steep and not well marked, so always move with caution.

The views from the top alone are worth the walk, and many families bring a picnic lunch to enjoy.  As shown in the picture, I used end-fed half-wave wires, supported by my 20-foot fishing pole.  It all worked fine.
