First Activation of Crossman Peak, Mohave County, Arizona.

This hike is near Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on the Arizona / California border.  Lake Havasu City is located on Lake Havasu, created by the Parker Dam on the mighty Colorado River.  The city is famous for   being HOT as Hell!, and having the famous London Bridge.

This is a "trail" hike, partly up a utility road, and partly up a rough and rocky trail, to the summit.  Trail is about 6 miles round trip., with 2,000 feet +/- elevation gain.  It trverses high desert terraine, steep, rocky and full of desert fauna & flora.  A cautionary note: a high clearance vehicle / 4WD is needed to get to the trailhead.  See notes on Summitpost listing for Crossman Peak.  Also, be careful of very sharp and barbed cactus needles of various and nasty types on the route!

The views are amazing!: Lake Havasu; Hualapai Mountains and into Death Valley California area.  Desert all around.
