Starting from the High Prairie trailhead for Lookout by KI7EMX Mountain,  https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guide/High_Prairie_Trailhead head west on Bennett Pass Road from the Lookout Mountain “T” intersection. Immediately the road degrades into a very rough surface.  Though the rocks are not necessarily loose, they have become exposed due to the dirt around them eroding away.  There are a few smooth sections, but all-in-all, it is a VERY rough go.  We dropped the tire pressure in the JEEP to 18 psi and it was still very bumpy. The road is very narrow (think pinstriping) with few turnouts. You'll head about 4.3 miles south on Bennett Pass Road.

There is a good place to park and access a trail to the summit near 45.31018, -121.57178.  From here it is only a .65-mile hike south to the summit (including 0.15-mile easy uphill bushwhack).  You actually pass the summit and start the bushwack from the south-to-north. Most maps show a trail leading up and over the summit, but the trail does not exist.

Bennett Pass Road gets rougher as you head south and continues south (1.8 miles) and intersects with Grasshopper Road  where you can head east to Badger Butte (a short bushwack) and Badger Lake.  Grasshopper Road also intersects with NF-4860 where you can head south out of the area (southern access to Peak 6001).
