Young Love is a fairly easy 1 point summit, located south of Sultan. The total hike is about 3.6 miles with ~1000' of gain.

From the parking spot, you walk along a good gravel road for about 1/2 mile before turning on to an abandoned logging road. The logging road is a bit overgrown but easy to follow. There is one short bushwhack section as you approach the AZ. The AZ is large as the summit is quite flat, but the true summit is a very cool pile of moss covered rocks. It was a bit of a challenge to set up my dipole on the true summit, but worth it. There is a nice view to the east from the true summit. VHF worked quite well from this summit and I made a lot of 2m contacts.

I have uploaded a GPX track for this hike to SOTA Maps (should also show up on SOTLAS).

Driving Directions:

Take WA203 to Ben Howard Road. Go east to Cedar Ponds Road.  Turn right (south) and follow Cedar Ponds Rd to the T with 299th AVE SE.  Turn right (south) on 299th and follow it to the 2nd bridge over Youngs Creek which is on the left. Turn onto Dagger Lake road and go another 0.5 miles to a gate on the right side of the road (room for a few cars to park here).
