5221 Twin Lead Mtn is a near drive-up summit on the Entiat Ridge near Leavenworth, WA, that also includes Sugarloaf Peak (W7W/CH-195), Chumstick Mountain (W7W/CH-196), and 5774 Entiat Ridge Peak (W7W/CH-197).  All four summits can be done in one long day.  Two of the three summits (Sugarloaf and Chumstick) are drive-ups, Twin Lead is either a drive-up or a short hike, and Entiat Ridge Peak is a short hike.

There are several ways to drive up to the Entiat Ridge, but the easiest way to get to Twin Lead is to start in Leavenworth.  Take Chumstick Highway north for 2 miles to Eagle Creek Road.  Turn right on Eagle Creek Road and drive 5.5 miles to where the paved road ends, and turn left onto Van Creek (FS 7520).  Continue for 5.75 miles, staying on the main road, up to a four-way intersection with a pit toilet. This intersection is called French Corral.  Take a right at French Corral onto Power Line House road (FS-5200-289).  Keep to the right as you follow this road for 2.4 miles to 47.6854, -120.4842.  The road itself is just at the edge of the AZ.

You can drive up a little way or hike up the 80-100 feet to the summit, if it has not been signed. Access to the summit out of the northwest is on private land that is being built into a glamping site--the work has been going on for years.  As of 2020, the owners have not shut down access.  In the event they do, you can still get to the summit with a bit of work.  The north half of the true summit is on private property, but the south half is Wenatchee National Forest lands, and the AZ extends at least 1/4 mile SE of the true summit.  To access the AZ, continue east on the road until you are south of 47.6860782, -120.4836186.  From here you can bushwhack due west up about 200 vertical feet to the summit.  The AZ includes two high points, and everything south from the high point of the true summit is on public lands.

There is plenty of space to set up on this summit, althought there are not many tall trees available.
