Directions to Slide Rock Mountain W7M/GA-093:

From Missoula, MT 24.6 miles on I-90 East to Exit 126 (about 17 Miles)

South on Rock Creek Road for approximately 9 Miles

Turn East on Brewster Creek Road ,

Follow for 7 miles to County Road 354,

Follow for 2.6 miles to Slide Rock Mountain W7M/GA-093

This is a drive up summit. However, 4WD ATV or side by side is highly recommended. A full size pickup may have problems because of the narrow road and tilt angle of the road. The road has sharp rocks and high vehicle ground clearance is a must. Elevation Gain from Rock Creek Road is a little over 1000’

Water: None available along the access road or trail.

Bear spray: Recommended for all Montana summit hikes and drive ups

Cell Service is fair to good after turning on to County Road 354. Before that point it is mostly non existent.

The rocky access road opens up to a broad peninsula area where the old  Forest Service tower was located. There are several historic building that still remain. There is plenty of room for erecting wire antennas using the trees on the perimeter of the landing.
