Get yourself to Keno, Oregon and you'll be within a few miles of a couple of good summits. Chase Mountain has a lookout and is a drive up in most any vehicle. Keno is about 12 miles SW of Klamath Falls on the Green Springs Highway 66, or about half that distance to the NW from Highway 97 on the Keno-Worden Road from the wide spot that is Worden, Oregon.

From the intersection of the Keno-Worden Road and the Green Springs Highway, take Green Springs west about 1.1 miles and turn left onto the Hamaker Mountain or Chase Mountain Road (it's called both names in different resources). Continue on this beautiful wide and paved mountain road 5.0 miles to the sign for Chase Mountain L.O. From here the road is dirt and rough for 1.7 miles to the summit, but passable in a a carefully driven passenger car.  At the summit is a fire lookout and several communication sites. I experienced no interference from the sites and got a tour of the lookout besides. There are trees for antennas and a few places to set up. There may not be many places on the dirt road to pulloff before the summit. In 2018 Chase Mountain was reported to have some strong RFI, especially on 40m where an S9 pulsing was heard even at a distance from the towers.
