Indian Spring Butte is very near Strawberry Mountain (W7O/NE-018) and it is possible to summit both in a single day. It is 0.8 miles one way and 600 feet of gain. There is no defined trail, but the access is straightforward because of minimal undergrowth under the tree canopy and it is an easy ridgeline to follow.

Follow directions to Strawberry Mountain as described here: http://www.pnwsota.org/blog/k7atn/2020-may-08/strawberry-mountain-or-july-2017 then from the Strawberry Mountain TH/parking spot, get back in your car and continue up Forest Road 1640 until it ends (approx. ¼ of a mile). You will see a forest sign for the High Lake trail.  That is not the direction you will go!  Head up the ridgeline to your left and just keep winding up the ridgeline.  There are two false summits you will get to first, go around them and keep going until you get to a cliff and can’t go any more. You’re now on the summit!  Easy Peasy.

My mobile service was 1 bar that came and went - spotty coverage. Trees on summit unlike Strawberry Mtn so it is easy to put up a mast and set up HF.
